Pregnancy & Birth Services

I am delighted to be able to offer pro-life and family-centered pregnancy services.
There is a great need for these type of services in the community. I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve you.
Please note that at this time I am I am able to offer doula care services only as traditional midwifery is still illegal in the state of North Carolina. This means that I can be an emotional and physical support to you during labor and delivery, acting as an advocate for you if you deliver in the hospital and as an assistant to your primary certified nurse midwife's team if you deliver at home.

Fertility Awareness
Course

This is a three hour long introductory course that covers the basic aspects of fertility awareness, commonly known as FAM or NFP. This course will quickly get you making and reading your own charts so that you can begin to understand the signs of your cycle.

In a one-on-one or group setting, you will learn to chart your body's own "symptoms" of fertility, allowing you easy access to a new kind of healthcare for women: self- care. This course includes a follow-up.

Labor and Childbirth Support

Birth Support begins in pregnancy, with sessions that cover the basics of childbirth education and revolve around labor comfort measures and writing a birth plan together.

As labor begins, experience gentle, encouraging, and compassionate birth support in your home or in the hospital in conjunction with your regular healthcare provider.
Evidence shows that having a doula present greatly increases satisfaction with the birth experience and dramatically reduces the need for interventions, medications, and C-sections.

Pregnancy and Parenting Support

Many people have experienced the life-changing effects of having a doula present at their birth, but few have considered the possibility of having one be regularly present during pregnancy.
In a world where many of us are trapped using a medical system that seeks the interests of hospitals and physicians over the interests of women, choose this option for doula support during pregnancy that is empowering, educational, and even fun! Meets once monthly and then biweekly in the third trimester, in person, by phone, or online.

Childbirth Education Course

This is a three hour long course that covers the mechanics of labor and support measures for the experience of birth.
Learn how to recognize signs of true labor, what to expect in your birth environment, and what changes the body will go through as you work to bring baby into the world.

This course is great alone or to take together with a friend, doula, or husband. You will also learn basic methods to help ease the pain of labor in a natural manner and get a feel for what being present at the birth will be like.
